Upcoming Events

We have lots of upcoming events this spring in ELP...

The spring play The Making of Mad Medusa,  is performing during school hours on April 14th and in the evening on April 15th. Come check it out, it's free! and it features the work of the costume designers, props and set crew, script writers, and of course the fabulous cast and crew!

May 19th, Jeff Rapsis, our favorite silent movie buff and piano player is coming to accompany a trio of silent movies as a celebration for a year of great work in ELP.

May 21st, the improv group is performing at Children and the Arts Day. So, check it out if you are in Peterborough!

TBA in late May is the improv evening show and perhaps a trash fashionshow by the costume designers.

May 27th is a contra dance during the day for the Griffins' Nest.

Wow! We certainly have a lot going on! Stay tuned!

Happy Pi Day!

This past week, we celebrated Pi Day, which is on March 14th.

We ate Pi-pie, and learned about the area and circumference of circles.

Congrats to Jesse Whicker, who won first dibs on all the pie, by memorizing 41 digits!

If you want to check out a really cool musical interpretation of Pi, check out this video. It gave us a whole new sense of what Pi could be!

Mathmagicians At It Again!

Hello mathematicians!

I have a few things for you to do today. I am in Ms. Blair's room, with my daughter, talking about child development. We'll be down later to check on you. :)

1.First, please play this game HERE .
It is simple and easy, but be careful you don't get tricked!

2.Next, check out this activity. Try the middle and expert levels. HERE Please try at least 10 patterns.

Pi Day is coming up soon, on March 14th. Do you know why we celebrate it that day?

3.Please check out the brainpop site. You will watch a movie and take a little quiz. You need to send me the results. Please retake the quiz until you get an 80% or better on it. You should email me the results at mcullinan@conval.edu. You will need to do this!

Here is the link to the movie and quiz HERE
You will need to sign in. Ask Ms. Egan for the username and password :) You'll need headphones, too.

PS--
Tomorrow, you need to be ready to listen to Chris teach a lesson. He will expect you to understand translation, reflection and rotation. Do you know what they all mean?

If you want to play a game about rotation, or you have a few extra minutes, play it here. Good luck!
