Applied Math -Decimals Party

Hi Mathematicians,

To celebrate finishing a long unit on decimals, we are going to have a party! I'm sorry I can't be with you today, but I need you to get started for me.

First, get with a partner or two.

1. Your budget is $30 at Antrim Market.

2. There should be no nuts or nut products in the food or drinks. Also, no peas or peapods.

3.You need to choose items that fit our school wellness policy.

4. There should be enough for everyone to have some.

5. If you will need more than paper towels and cups to serve the food, you will have to buy those as well.

6. Your proposal should also include a game or activity.

Your job today is to learn about the school wellness policy and brainstorm what you might buy. On Thursday we will be going to Antrim Market to price items.

We will be voting on the best party proposal, and we will be buying the winning group's choices!

Tomorrow we will not be working on this, so make sure you are ready to check out Antrim Market on Thursday!
